At ASE, we strive to make our students and parents feel welcome. And we are proud of our longstanding tradition of academic excellence. It's going to be a great year!

Special Thanks:
We'd like to thank several local businesses for supporting ASE during the past few months:
McAlister's Deli for providing lunch at a discounted price
Pillow Donuts for giving us a discount on donut holes for Polar Express Day for our kindergartners
Academy Sports for donating 30 bicycles and helmets for deserving ASE students
ASE 5K Frolic and Fun Run:
As part of our commitment to help promote healthy living, ASE hosted our inaugural 5K Frolic and Fun Run on October 8. Our goal for this first
year was to provide an event that would bring a sense of community spirit and promote physical fitness. And we did just that! We’d like to thank our volunteers, sponsors, participants and the Ridgeland Police Department for helping to make our 5K Frolic and Fun Run such a big success! Our sponsors included: The Club, Sweet Tree Yogurt, Fleet Feet, Indian Cycle and Trustmark. Be sure to thank these businesses for providing donations and monetary support for our race.
Walk to School Day a Success:
On October 5, ASE participated in International Walk to School Day for the first time ever. The weather was beautiful, and we had a wonderful turnout. Students, parents, ASE staff members, City of Ridgeland officials, community leaders and special guests all gathered, and we walked to
school together. We'd like to thank the City of Ridgeland and MDOT for helping us plan and promote the event, the Ridgeland Police Department for helping to ensure our safety and for helping us get across intersections, and our friends at Ridgeland High School for participating. The RHS parade band, cheerleaders and Titus were a big hit with our students! And, finally, we'd like to thank the following businesses for donating items for our reception: Target, Mac's Fresh Market, Home Depot and the Ridgeland Wal-Mart. The morning was a great success, and our students and participants had a blast!
Box Tops For Education:
Please remember to save your Box Tops, which are found on specially marked products, to help our school earn money throughout the year. Each Box Top is worth 10 cents of free money for ASE. What a wonderful way for our families, as well as the community, to support us through this important fundraiser. Congratulations to the classes that collected the most Box Tops for the month of November:
Kindergarten – Barry (245)
First Grade – Jacobs (214)
Second Grade – Coody-Cobb (72)
